Wike accuse Tinubu

The governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike, has accused PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar of meeting with several governors privately in the All Progressive Congress (APC) camp with the intention of winning them over to his cause.

This was recently disclosed by Governor Wike at the project’s groundbreaking for the dualization of the Eneka-Igbo Etche Road.

Governor Wike dared PDP’s highest echelons to try and kick him out of the party at the flag-off if they had the audacity to do so.

Governor Wike stated the following to support his threats:

“When the time comes, we will know who has capacity and who does not have capacity.”

Governor Wike and his fellow G-5 governors, who have been at odds with the PDP leadership, reiterated their demand during their speech at the ceremony, requesting Senator Iyorchia Ayu to step down from his post as national chairman.

In order to foster equity, fairness, and inclusivity in the party, the G-5 governors have been adamant that a southerner assume the leadership role.

The integrity committee, led by Governor Wike, has stated that the national chairmanship of the party and the presidential candidate cannot be from the same region, which is also prohibited by the party’s charter.
