This happened during her third year in school when she was close to graduating. Despite her efforts to appeal for pardon and return to school, her pleas were refused.
Upon learning of the situation, Yvonne’s mother scolded her and accused her of joining bad gangs and associating with a nuisance group of friends.
Yvonne expressed regret for her actions that led to her expulsion, realizing that it was not an academic issue, but rather a clumsy and messy situation that she found herself in.
