Comrade (Chief) Ovuzuorie S. Macaulay, who previously served as the Secretary to the Delta State Government, has officially resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in anticipation of the upcoming gubernatorial election in the state.
In his resignation letter, he cited the party’s leadership as the primary reason for his departure, claiming that their “overt exhibition of impunity, blackmail, falsehood and disregard for party rules” had forced him to make this decision.
Comrade Macaulay went on to explain that he had endured the party leadership’s arrogance and misconduct for many years, even attempting to appeal for change to no avail. Despite his efforts, he felt he had no choice but to leave the party, given the circumstances.
