Gunmen abduct two wives, son of traditional ruler in Taraba State

The Police Command in Taraba State has confirmed the abduction of two wives of Dansalama Adamu, the traditional ruler of Sarkin Kudu, in Ibi local government council of the state. Additionally, the kidnappers also took the monarch’s son, and their whereabouts remain unknown at the time of writing.

The State’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Usman Abdullahi, confirmed the incident on Saturday in Jalingo, the state capital. According to him, the abduction occurred on Friday in Ibi, and several suspects have been apprehended in connection with the incident. The arrested suspects are cooperating with the police and providing valuable information that may lead to the capture of other suspects.

The police are working tirelessly to locate and rescue the victims unharmed. Our state correspondent reported that unknown gunmen raided the monarch’s premises in the Serkin Kudu community of the council when he was not at home.

This attack comes only a month after the monarch of Mutum-Biyu in Gassol local government council of the state lost two wives and six children to their kidnappers in Taraba.
