Liverpool will undergo a significant change this summer as they let go of Roberto Firmino, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita, James Milner, and veteran goalkeeper Adrian, whose contracts have all expired. Klopp is set to sign new players as quickly as possible.
Set to join Real Madrid, Klopp withdrew from the race to sign Jude Bellingham to maximize Liverpool’s ability to invest.
They have formulated plans to quickly secure their desired targets.
Mason Mount, Chelsea’s midfielder, is a top priority.
Within Anfield, fans highly regard the England international and he would eagerly play under Klopp due to his style and character.
Alexis Mac Allister, Brighton’s Argentine World Cup winner, Ryan Gravenberch of Bayern Munich (though the Germans are reluctant to let him go), and Matheus Nunes from Wolves are also high on Liverpool’s list.
Liverpool’s interest in midfielders may result in selling clubs and inflating transfer fees. However, Klopp is unfazed and willing to switch targets if necessary.
Klopp stated, “We cannot buy the player then. If they are overpriced, we cannot do it. We will bring in players. I am pretty sure we will bring in the players we want and those who will help us. I am pretty confident of that.”
Liverpool’s recent five-game winning streak is promising, but Klopp does not believe that four more victories will guarantee a Champions League place. He expects Manchester United and Newcastle United to secure the necessary points.
However, he sees the long-term benefit of their good form, believing that it will demonstrate to potential targets that Liverpool can recover and compete for top prizes next year.
Ideally, Klopp would like to have done most of the business before the squad returns on July 8th.
