Ari Naftali Melber, the son of an Israeli immigrant, is of Jewish descent and has grandparents who were Holocaust survivors.
He attended Garfield High School in Seattle, Washington, and the University of Michigan, where he earned a BA in Political Science.
After college, he moved to Washington, D.C., and worked for Senator Maria Cantwell and Senator John Kerry’s presidential campaign before pursuing a J.D. degree from Cornell Law School.
