Atiku Abubakar, the PDP presidential candidate, has urged the Central Bank of Nigeria not to delay the old naira deadline after February 10.

Atiku’s campaign council says vote riggers want to extend the date until after the elections.

Atiku asked CBN to review measures to ensure the circulation of new naira and ease difficulties faced by rural dwellers.

Part of the statement reads: “No further postponement on new naira regime after Feb 10. Vote riggers seeking to extend it after the election. CBN and Presidency should be steadfast, the merits of the new naira policy outweigh inconvenience.”
