Robbers murdered 3 drivers and sold their cars

Armed robbery suspects have admitted to luring drivers, killing them, and then selling their cars.

Williams Abiodun and 10 other suspects were presented at the command headquarters in Edo State, Nigeria.

Abiodun described how his gang killed their victims and sold their vehicles in Benin, Edo State. They often disguised themselves as construction workers to trick drivers into stopping, at which point they would steal the cars and kill the drivers.

He stated that his gang had killed three people and sold the vehicles to a Chinese company. The State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Dankwara, said that 135 criminal suspects had been arrested since he took office.

The police have recovered a significant amount of money, firearms and ammunition from the suspects.
