On Sunday, January 1, some hoodlums allegedly attacked Sokoto state’s governor, Aminu Tambuwal.

Post Nigeria gathered that Tambuwal and some of his cabinet members were attacked as they left a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) rally in the state’s Silame and Wamakko local government areas.

A source says that stones were thrown at the governor’s car and that the SUV of the governor’s special assistant for media and public relations had its windshield broken.

The SUV drove by the governor’s permanent secretary also had its rear screen shattered by the stones.

Tambuwal and Manir Muhammad, his deputy, were unharmed in the attack. On the convey are Saidu Umar and Sagiru Bafarawa, the PDP’s nominee for governor and his running mate.
