Wizkid, the popular Nigerian music icon also known as Ayo Balogun, has disclosed the postponement of his More Love, Less Ego album tour due to logistical issues.
Postngr gathered that on Thursday, March 2nd, 2023, he announced the delay via his Twitter account. The tour, which was intended to commence on March 3 in Houston, Texas, United States, was targeted at North America.
Wizkid stated that the concert has been rescheduled for the autumn season, and he will communicate the new date to his fans.
However, individuals who have already purchased tickets will still be allowed to attend.
His announcement comes amid controversy surrounding the results announced for the 2023 presidential election which was marred by voter suppresion, violence and widespread allegation of rigging.
Wiz wrote; “Due to unforeseen logistical circumstances the Wizkid – More Love, Less Ego Tour has been postponed to Fall 2023.
All tickets purchased for the originally scheduled shows will be honored on the new dates at the respective venues. Stay tuned for more information. Love, Wiz.”
