The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office performed a new autopsy report that ruled Sara Lee, the wrestler who won the WWE “Tough Enough” show, died by suicide in October by ingesting a lethal mixture of pills and alcohol. The report stated that there was also a letter of intent left at the scene.
When Lee died, doctors suspected that she fell while intoxicated, as she had bruises and scuffing on her head and body.
Many people mourned her passing when they found out, as she was only 30 years old and left a huge hole in the hearts of those around her.
The WWE released a statement saying, “Lee served as an inspiration to many in the sports-entertainment world. WWE offers its heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and fans.”
Lee won “Tough Enough” in 2015 and signed a year contract with the WWE. After completing the year, she moved on to the independent wrestling circuit in 2016.
In 2017, WWE wrestler Wesley Blake tied the knot with Lee. They started a family shortly after their wedding and had three kids.
Westley Blake left a heartbreaking note on Instagram “you were a motivator, a best friend, a sister, a daughter, an aunt, the backbone of our family, and (my favorite), my wife.”
“I can’t promise that I will stop grieving but I know now, that you’re free,” Blake said. “I can’t thank you enough for giving me the best years of my life so far.”
