On June 22, the Republic of Ireland’s women’s team, also known as the “Girls in Green,” will engage in a friendly match against the Shepolopolo of Zambia at Tallaght Stadium.

Postngr gathered that this match is one of several friendlies scheduled as preparation for their participation in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, which will be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand.
In Group B, the European team, led by Vera Pauw, will be facing Australia, Canada, and the Super Falcons of Nigeria, with their last group game against the latter.
This match will mark the first time the two teams have met. Presently, the Super Falcons are participating in a four-nation invitational tournament in Mexico.
The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup will take place from July 20 to August 20.
